I was buried alive..

Death was always said to be a spiritual occurrence. For me, it was exception. I was buried alive..

I forced open my eyelids to realize they were already open and it was my conscious that had flickered to life. An unsettling aroma of Gardenia filled the air. I used to adore the scent of it. Now, I can't think of anything more dreading as I lay here motionless, other than this very flower. I hear everyone, overwhelmed with grief. I watch, as people come and scrutinize my austere visage. Everyone passing right by my side exchanging deep sympathetic looks at my still silhouette and passed on, except those who were the dearest, to whom the whole event seemed incredulous  As Grandma made her way through the bunch, she couldn't hold it in any longer. She fell on the still body and hugged it in desperation shouting chants and cursing Mother Nature for Her cruel ways. In the distance, a young brother unable to fathom what was happening before his eyes, eyed the dead body of his Older Brother as he laid still on the bed, on which they used to build pillow castles together. On the other corner of the bed, a mother who had lost her child, sat weeping in her husband's arms while the man tried his utmost not to break into tears and that he was strong enough.
An aura of foreboding prevailed the room as the deafening noise of my family crying slowly vanished and everyone came up with the conclusion that the body was to be buried.
 But I was alive.
Dad strolled off towards the balcony , slowly getting a hold of the bitter truth that his son was no more and clutched his phone tight in his left hand and started dialing a number, one digit at a time.
The next thing I wake up to is an awkward silence in the distance which I'm unfamiliar with. I was still motionless and surrounded by faces I've grown up with. Just then, I find a lanky man with four acquaintances, striding their way into the room I was in. I winced as my eyes landed on what they were carrying on their backs.
A coffin.
I faintly recall it being of light wood with a flower carved onto its lid, which depicted in me a sense that nature had sent me, and I was returning back to it.
Everything blackened.
I sensed movement and just then, I realized I was in the coffin, which a moment back reminded me of my mortality. For it wasn't the insecurity of being a mortal, I wouldn't have achieved what I have till now.
The rhythm of the steps wasn't at all symmetrical and reminded me of the humpy camel rides over at the beach. Good times..
Next thing I know, my Dad was staring into my soul. The isolated aura of the vicinity aroused my deepest fear. I was in a graveyard. A tear rolled down his cheek as he covered my head with a piece of cloth for the very last time. At the distance, Little Brother could still not grip the fact that Big Brother would no longer be there to play football with him anymore.
All of a sudden, the coffin lid closed with a thud and everything darkened except for a small ray of light that struggled its way through a small hole and clearly showed that the termites have been having quite a munch lately.
The very next moment, I'm yelling. I'm alive.
I was being lowered into the grave where my sins manifested themselves into earthly vermins waiting to feast on my flesh. I feel nauseated, which convinced me I was still alive  And then I'm yelling again out of desperation.
I start hearing footsteps, which sadly, were fading away. I wasn't totally convinced that I was alone in a grave. I was being welcomed by vermins, my flesh a delicacy.
What I feared all my life, now dominated me. Insects with more than 3 pair of legs. They scared the daylights out of me back when I was a toddler and they still do now to this day. They were crawling all over me and one even managed to penetrate into my flesh and find its way into my interior muscular wall. An all-you-can-eat buffet. I scream with all my might but to no avail. Suddenly, I feel something in my throat. I feel excruciating pain all over my body, especially my trachea, as if somebody's choking me with a barbed wire. Then a thought occurred. The vermins were now feeding on my throat and considering the fact that I won't be able to yell or scream anymore left me in an eerie state of enigma.
I keep on yelling
but still to no avail..

Brain vs. Brawn

The other day I had to write a speech for a sixth grader for this competition of her's. So... I thought I'd just put it up as well. It's a free country right? :p

Brain vs. Brawn

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will…” quoted Gandhi and clearly elaborates the gist of my speech.
I, myself, personally believe that ‘brains’ overcome ‘brawn’.  To clarify why I believe so, I’ll give a few historical references to elaborate my decision.
What was it that killed Goliath? Strength? Muscle? NO! More importantly, the person who killed him was not even a proper soldier. It was young David himself. Goliath, a huge and experienced warrior, faced by a man in his early youth. But what exactly did he do? He just used his slingshot and aimed at Goliath’s forehead and at that moment, that clever idea just killed a strong, well-built man.

(As Goliath stands for combat against young David)

What was it that led the Muslims to overcome the Romans in the battle of Mutah? 3000 Muslims at that event faced around a force of 200000(2 lakh) Romans but still oppressed their attacks. This was due to Hazrat Khalid’s great tactics, which still lay unparallel to any call by a commander in history, and, hence proved mighty for the Muslims.
The mentioned references clearly show how brains overcame brawls.
To survive in this modern world, one must use intelligence rather than force to overcome anything or be successful, hence educational institutions. We no longer live in the Stone Age or the Byzantine Empire where only the strongest survive. Instead, here we are, where for one, intelligence is key. It helps one in all aspects of life.
Let’s take a scenario where this is more applicable. For example. Imagine opening a bottle of coke with your bare hands. I’m sure you’ll probably hurt yourself but would not be able to open it. Whereas try opening it with a bottle-opener, and in a matter of seconds you’ll be enjoying a cool drink. Hence, once again, brains overcome brawn.

Concluding in the end, I believe that the application of brawn is nowhere near to that of brains. For brawl may help you win a fight, but brain might help you win a fight without actually fighting.

Poetry for thought

A love story

Turtle doves up in the sky
Watch them fly and wonder why?
Why is this (world) such a lonely place?
People killed, left no trace
What am I doing sitting here?
While I kill myself in this despair
I shall forget my past and try to move on
Remember nothing ever happened, everything is gone
I went home rushing excitement within
A new bright life I shall begin
I will find someone who'll fill my shopping cart
That someone will be my sweetheart
I started my quest to find true love
My favorite bird, the turtle dove
God’s own beauty, His own gift
Flying over me, one great swift
Then I met one man who looked pretty sad
I asked him 'what made his life so bad?'
'Love' he yelled trying not to cry
With a shocked expression I said 'oh my...
What happened dear sir, what’s wrong?'
Replied 'wander off little boy it’s pretty long'
I held his hand and took him to a seat
He started his own story with his own beats
“I met her in grade eighth
We had the same class and studied late
Physics used to be her favorite subject
I had to take a chance, I couldn't reject
We were at the physics labs where I grabbed her hand
Whispered in her ear 'can I be your man?'
She did nothing and silent she remained
A buzz of thunder and it started to rain
She started to smile and stare into my eyes
And said
'From now on no more lies
Of the eight billion people in this world
Can I be you only girl?'
It was getting late and the clock ticked seven
My life just turned into an earthly heaven
I looked up to her and she started to blush
And told her she was my only crush
In grade tenth I joined the football team
She said
'You can be the best, you can!'
She was my number 1, only fan
We joined the same college and studied more
And smiled when we talked about what happened before
On 24 marches, we went out together
I told her I’ll be there for her forever
As we stood in front of the open sea
I popped the question 'babe will you marry me?'
Yes she said and I rejoiced
I wanted the world to hear my voice
Years went great after our marriage
Everything was going just fine
I always tried to impress her
And she would smile and say 'Stop trying'
Our life was full of joy and laughter
I promised I’d love her happily ever after
Then one day we went to the doctor
He told us to go and buy new toys
And smiled at us and said
You're going to have a baby boy
I was so happy I yelled 'Doc, are you serious?!'
He replied 'more serious than the big bang theory was'
I couldn't control my emotions I started to cry
My wife came near and whispered
‘From your life's dictionary, delete the word sad
You will make a great dad'
I smiled up to her and replied
‘You’re the best in the world, there is no other
I bet you'll make a wonderful mother'
We had a little boy with beautiful eyes
That were just like the great blue sky
He would cry and laugh whenever he want
and probably didn't like his aunt
Because she always watched two and a half men
While he wanted to watch Ben 10
Then one day something really terrible happened to us
We were travelling on a bus
I told him to cry not
Then I started hearing gunshots
With dreadful noise my ears were filling
People were engaged in target killing
I don't remember what happened then
I woke up on a stretcher with my wife in my hands
My little boy I could not find
I was completely out of my mind
'Where is he?!?' I yelled at the nurse
She took out a picture from her purse
'Is this your little boy?'
'YES!' I replied with rage
She whispered in my ear and I was in bound
My little boy could not be found
Then my wife woke up with many fractured bones
I could feel her soul turn into stone
Then I saw her take her last breath
She was, now, in the custody of death
I couldn't believe what I saw or hear
My faith in life started to disappear
I rushed to the doctor and 'asked what happened?'
He said 'many lives had been blackened
You’re lucky enough to survive

You’re the only one from that bus who's alive'

Rap - The Endangered Genre

Me :               I like Rap
Teacher :        How could you? ,you soulless creature!
Me :               What!? Whats wrong with liking Eminem?
Teacher :        wait... never mind

Well obviously she misheard me but yes that's my story. I'm writing this because if I wrote about the actual type of music I listen to, I'd sound like a hopeless romantic ;)

Rap is the genre of music in which words are spoken rather than being sung and usually in a fast rhythm. Hence the voice doesn't matter... Unless you're this guy

If you dont know him, believe me you're lucky. He sounds worse than Justin Bieber and One Direction combined. His voice resembles my grandmother's broken massager ...... Yes I know rap is not about the voice but what he 'spits' is the reason rap has lost its meaning.

Everybody loves Eminem and i'm sure you do too, and that's for two main reasons

  1. He share's the same name with a candy. Lol cm'aan everybody loves to eat, right?

    2. and

I know... my reason are not enough. Nobody can love him for only these two reasons. Well I have dozens more. The truth is he doesn't rap about stuff like 'money, women or drugs' unlike other rappers, he raps about life. To be honest his songs are a source of motivation for me

   If you're a 90's kid I'm sure you'll recognize him

Yes, that's the one and only Tupac. If you don't know him then idk kill yourself maybe?
He died back in 1996 and is still remembered by his fans. Ya know why? because his lyrics had a meaning. they touched the soul ( unless you're a ginger..lol jk)

Rappers these days are overrated, wearing skinny jeans and shit as if they took the phrase 'get into a girls pant's the wrong way. The only thing they rap about now is 'Hoes and Cocaine'. Like seriously?, of this whole words of meaningful thins you chose women and drugs?. A standing ovation for you guys
Check it out for yourself

When I first heard em' I was like.....

Just have a look at Rappers then and now..

.....

I hope you can spot the difference now ;)
-No offence to anybody but this is just what I think :)
